my wife got a payrise yesterday too, backdated to Jan
looking for a little weekend getaway. Is there an english term for "agroturystyka", like a holiday home on a farm?
(, Wed 14 Mar 2018, 11:19, Reply)
if there is, I don't know it
It's 'agriturismo' in Italian though

i could just google this but do any of you nerds know why we say 'souped up'?
what's the soup connection? soup's a funny word innit. why not 'soop'?

what's your favourite soup?

I always thought it was related to superchargers
which were fitted to engines yonks ago.

I'm not a huge fan of soups, but leek and potato is pretty good.

then it'd be suped up, right?

(, Wed 14 Mar 2018, 12:21, Reply)
I googled it for you
apparently "soup" was a term for any concotion of drugs pumped into a horse to make it go faster, long before any sort of forced induction used in engines. So "soup" is the right spelling.
